In Facebook, the "I'm leaving" posts cause often the "Just leave!" posts. But, hey!, this is not Facebook! ;)

More often then not on Facebook I see people "begging" the person to not leave, saying crap like "we need you" or "we want you to stay" and other crap. They do it for attention.
I view Steemit as where the adults go to discuss things while Facebook is kindergarten for social media - you learn the basics, throw a fit, piss in your own playground and wonder why people like you.
I wish, @triverse
I know, I was kidding. You are right. But this is a real community - as far as I can see - and people leaving (not just saying it) is something everyone cares.
Yes, you were talking about the "I'm leaving" announcements as a bait for attention/upvote/reward. I know.
Agree with you....ha..ha...! Just as bait...ha...ha..right !:)

Maybe you need to read the articles here...
This place is just like facebook. Just like facebook.
@codymac40
Yes.
1 Facebook didn't paid me sh...
2 Insults in general aren't appreciated on Steemit.
Utter nonsense response.
Children down voting posts at random is not conducive to a GREAT experience.
Maybe check that out...
peace
Thank you.
Depends on what authors you support with reads, upvotes and comments. I tend to ignore the ones that feel a lame meme is a quality post or simply share a Youtube video by someone else and call it a day hoping for upvotes and comments.
I will, in the case of the videos, if I find it interesting go directly to Youtube and comment there. While there, I tell the content creator that I saw their video on Steemit and link back to the site. Maybe they will join up and start posting their own videos here. But what do I know, I am supposedly bullying others around here.
That is a great way to interact with those you like.
I try very hard to show this level of respect for those who really are DOING something for the community.
I ask the same in return.
Thanks...
I like to think that things will work out in the long run if people would stop relying on autovoters and actually read posts before upvoting them.
We need more interaction and discussion on Steemit in order for it to grow.
Exactly!
Ive had umpteen votes and only 3 or 4 views on some posts.
It really is almost meaningless to post anything cognitive because very few actually read it...maddening!
I would have said, no read, no vote.
