So, let me discuss publicly this group, or network, and the ideas behind it, my strategic vision for the group and it's possible future. Especially people who are already in the group, and people who would like to be admins, or in other ways participate more in building this group should read this carefully. And of course also new people who want to join the group, we're open for all people.
And that's the cornerstone of the whole philosophy behind this project. It's open for everybody, and it's beneficial for everybody. The key for our success is to perfectly align the interests of the individual member, and the group. Just like it should be in the larger society as well, perhaps some readers are familiar with Adam Smith's concept of "the invisible hand". While I disagree with Smith's idea in the sense that the pursuit of self-interest (in the free market system) would always be in the interests of society as well, "as if guided by an invisible hand", there certainly are many cases when individual interests and group interests align. And our Steemvoter Exchange group should be one conscious example of that.
So, how does this dynamic work? Let's say we now have approx. 50 members in our network, sharing upvotes with the steemvoter. So, obviously, we all have incentives to help each other grow. The bigger our member's accounts become, the more their upvotes will be worth. So if our friends in the network benefit and grow, we benefit and grow.
Likewise, if new members join our group and start following and upvoting our other members, that also benefits everybody. So everybody has an incentive to recruit more people in to the group. And the more our group grows, the more our member's accounts grow, the more their upvotes become worth and so forth and so on. It's a positive feedback loop, which will kick in once we achieve a certain number of members, and perhaps even more importantly, a certain level of efficiency in our organisation.
Now, we need to however think further, than just about the exchanging of upvotes with steemvoter and follows. This is good, and it's good to support everybody, but we also have to remember the other key function of steemit, which is the curation, the filtering of the cream to the top so to speak, bringing the best content to the forefront due to the upvotes. So we should also keep this in mind. First of all, as a responsibility to produce quality content, not just spam. Second of all, we need to develop a system within our group to really boost the best content with the highest quality, while at the same time offering an easy access and basic upvote support for all new accounts and minnows.
Right now our organisation is still quite disorganised, and there might be times when no admins are present in the discord-chat lobby to confirm new members. So, if we really want to grow exponentially and take our network to the next level, we need more people actively engaged in building the network, in terms of recruiting and confirming new members. To do this we're going to have more VIP-members who will have the authorisation to do this. I think anybody who is found to be trustworthy and genuinely interested in helping the group can become a VIP-member. Once we are able to effectively adopt this group strategy, our growth will become exponential. There should also be an incentive for all members to recruit new members, and to bring their friends to the group. And there already is, because, like I mentioned, the bigger the group grows, the better it is for each individual account getting the upvote and follow support from the community. But this can be incentivised even more, with VIP-memberships, mass resteems and other similar incentives.
Many people have shown interest in the network and it's potential, and we should engage all members who want to participate in building this network. So, if you just want the upvotes and not spend a lot of time and energy on the group, that's ok. I have so many things to say about this project, there is no way to say it all in this post, and I encourage an on-going conversation among the members and other steemians alike as to this project, this idea, and what is the optimal way forward. So, while the members of our group are competing for the attention of the steemit users at large, we are obviously not enemies - but share common interests as well, like for example the price of Steem, and the power of our network. And what can we do to maximise this? Bring more and more people to steemit itself from the outside! So really our Steemvoter Exchange is a miniature version of Steemit within Steemit, and Steemit itself is a microcosmic version of the whole society. This fractal nature of reality is certainly mysterious and fascinating.
So, to sketch the short- and long-term goals of our organisation a little bit here at the end, here are some objectives.

For members: grow your account by producing the best quality content, and making new friends, followers and auto-upvote-exchangers at our group. The more you grow, the better it will be for the group, and we're right behind you supporting you.
For members who are interested in the group and want to invest time and energy in to developing it, please don't hesitate to contact and share your ideas and your vision. We the organisers of this need to also start sharing the workload and engage more of the members if we want to make this thing work and grow as much as it could.
For the group as a whole: let's grow, let's get more members, and let's organise our operations more effectively, and - perhaps most importantly - let's build an environment of love, friendship, support, creativity. I wonder if the group is sustainable, though. I am worried about the loss of voting power with so many authors to upvote (and who knows how many posts they will produce!). I am also worried that as some get successful, they'll leave without paying interest to the community, so to say. You know, we all want some juicy votes from the successful members of the community)
You have your point. One thing I'm sure of, I am not like that. I have a habit of looking back where I started and grateful for the people who have helped me through when I have nothing. That's in real life.
These problems are solvable. If we build real relationships within the community, everyone will have an incentive to stay in and keep developing the group. If someone gets succesful because of the group, and then leaves - well, that would be unfortunate, but if people have received benefit from us and have made friends and connections and believe in the idea of our organisation, they won't leave. But I'll address these and other problems more in the future. We'll solve problems as they arise.
