It's funny, I have been into crypto for just over a year now and find myself trying to convince people to use crypto. I feel like there is some magical or mythical thinking that will not allow them to understand.
Most often bitcoin is referred to as fake money. I always reply, "Do you know what fractional reserves are?" Then I usually follow up with the fact that only ~3% of currency is printed. The rest is all digital 1s and 0s.
Usually i get a dumbfounded look met with resistance. I think it takes a while for that to sink in.
the derivates market is already over a quadrillion $ I guess.....so time will tell :)
