I wondered at what time of the day the most people are online here on Steemit.com, so I digged into the Steem blockchain data to figure it out. Here is the result. All data is based on USA Eastern Time. If you live in Europe you can add 5 hours for Central European Time (CET).

I hope this is helpful. I think the best time to post is when more people are online. On the other hand, one could also argue that your post becomes more visible when fewer articles are posted shortly after your article. Let me know your thoughts on this...

Thanks for this information. The very good correlation betwenn the two graphs is no surprise. Either I'm awake to give my vote, or a bot does this job. I the second case the author is awake (if he isn't a bot). Europe and America seem to be dominant.
Looks like early evening in the UK is a good time to post. I just tend to do it when I'm at the PC, which may be sub-optimal. People may not scroll so far down their feed. Maybe we need a personal 'hot' feed so you see recent posts from people you follow that have done well.

The peak at 07:00 Eastern Time is 11:00 UTC. This makes sense now that Europe and Asia combined have more traffic to the site than the US. With Americans just getting up and Asians not quite gone to bed yet, European day time is a broad peak.
I am glad you created this post, thank you! Since I joined steem, I've been constantly checking periodically throughout the day to see what time frame the community post the most. It seems like every time I check, I always miss the great high paying posts :(

When I first started I experimented with posting in the AM vs PM... I always got the most votes if I posted around 9 pm... but most of the votes wouldn't come in until the midnight-4 am block. I figured a lot of non-Americans were reading mine.
