3. Daily accounts transacting

A 'transacting account' is a Steem account that made at least one transaction on the Steem blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or sbd conversion. Users who only read from the Steem blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

8. Steem Price Update

¯\___(ツ)____/¯ Follow me @penguinpablo for daily Steem statistics.
Sad to see such low activity after the fork , i hope we will back to normal soon
Fork!
Wow, that's a huge drop since HF20, but that's not surprising at all. It will be interesting to see what it's like in a week or two from now though. Hopefully it will be close to normal again by that time.
Really nice to get a graphical representation of the effect of the hardfork - WoW!

With the HF that drop was of course to be expected, my concern is how it builds up again after people start posting again and seeing if we lost many people
Yep, that will definitely be interesting to look at. I hope we reach somewhere close to the original number, but I have doubts.
YEs it will be very interesting to watch and see
I'm curious how it will look in the following days... Hopefully it's going up... =D
While these metrics may have been expected because of the deployment of the HF 20, it seems it is starting to stabilize. It concerns me to see so few new users as one of the intended changes was faster onboarding but I guess most are busy dealing with the stabilization of the platform. Interesting to see how the bid bot activity has declined as well.
Probably has to do with the fact that a lot of these bots wait until they have close to 100 % Voting Power before they accept bids. I think their numbers will rise to normal once they all hit 100 % again.
If this hardfork makes the site more equitable then it will have been worth the upheaval. I doubt that will be the case.
We have maybe forgotten that it is a difficult concept (steem and it) for new users to understand and get their heads around.
With all the different facets to this network is enough to contend with and then imagine them seeing some accounts taking $1,000's out of the rewards pool while they cannot even transact? must be baffling to a new user.
It's pretty baffling to me!?
It would be great if we could dispense with bid bots but when they are the only game in town to make any headway here. You have to make your choice.
It would be a far more difficult to get seen here without them.
We will see how HF20 shapes up. It is not looking good so far.
Let's see what happens in December!

This is the worst I've seen and it started well before the fork. There is no STEEM being transferred from the exchanges to users accounts (orange). The blue presumably goes to the exchange, but the exchanges are blind to the deposits. This is a major problem if no one can use exchanges for STEEM. What is Steemit Inc doing about it?
It seems that a lot of exchanges have suspended deposits, withdrawals, and trading of STEEM. I believe they will start up again once the HF mess has been solved. Hopefully the big ones open up again within the next few days.
Thanks for all the report you create. I always use steemnow and I start to using SteemBlockExplorer as well. Those are awesome tools, I included you in my recent post, I'm positive about the hard fork. ☺
Thank you for the great report as always :-) I have a little question - This morning I was looking at your statistic from last year, and saw there was a change in data about weekly active users between 201731 and 201732 - all stats from past weeks were also increased retroactively. I am sorry for bothering you (and maybe asking a stupid question) - but was it because it changed how you view active user, or something else? Thank you once again!!! :-)
EDIT: I also see sometimes there are corrections in other data from past weeks, so I guess its most accurate to watch the result from the latest reports available.
That's correct. I changed the way the active users are calculated some time ago.
Hi. Is there a post where the steemnow price (source) is explained better. It is now trailing market price with 10 cents which is more than 10%. Even when it is a moving average it should go up now.
The price of Steem in the top right of steemnow.com is the median price of the last 3.5 days. This is the price that the blockchain uses to calculate the payouts.
You can click on the price to see a chart of the last 3.5 days.
I hope that the exchanges are coming back up again soon.
hope that the number will raise soon and will more than the last top.
