A 'transacting account' is a Steem account that made at least one transaction on the Steem blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or sbd conversion. Users who only read from the Steem blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

¯\___(ツ)____/¯ Follow me @penguinpablo for daily Steem statistics.
Glad to see the number of accounts transacting almost going back to normal
Pretty good recovery.
Recovery in number of accounts transacting but still need a recovery in number of posts. Actually, this is probably a healthy decrease in number of posts (many low value spam accounts can't comment anymore).
I think the number of posts will recover soon especially with rewards going up but I do agree a lot of spammy posts will now be gone which is a good thing.
Good to see it recovering again. =)
Hi @penguinpablo! Does the created account statistics include new hf20 "claim account" method?
Yes, but only if the 'claim_account' is used to actually create a new account. If an account calls the 'claim_account' method, but does not yet use it to create a new account it is not counted yet.
Cool, thank you :)
If you have few minutes? Can you review the code posted here and tell if it's secure? Kinda scared to use my active key, even though this is posted under @utopian. https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@mcfarhat/hf20-tutorial-claiming-and-creating-discounted-accounts-1538321171071
Hooah!
A one week record on everything!
Steem is going from strength to strength.

Dang. This is really cool. How do you find all of these numbers? The usage and blockchain posts are fascinating. I have definitely noticed a LOT less activity here than beginning of the year and stuff. Personally, i hope steem goes cheaper so i can reload more. Thanks for the info!
Woehaa I see an uptrend for the number of posts + comments 😎😆😂😉
looking good :) - sweet
I guess the big dip was due to the upset around the fork
I do not know if I'm right but apparently yesterday was stable and exceeded other days, right? 🤔
Correct firing on all cylinders.
hmmmm ok
what do you think about the cryptographic market in the coming months
I don't think about it at all in short market terms.
I'm very interested in the potential of the technology to radically change the way we work.
Many think that you have to see the market in the long term, that's where you really see very good profits... for those who have money invested of course. 🤣
That's a good solid bounce back up and if it continues it will be back to pre hf20 parity by next week.
Can't wait. Comment section looks SO much better now. A lot less inane comments.
Yep the hardfork is well and truly in the spammers butts lol horay!
