Wow, it looks like the daily active user numbers are blowing up. I did some quick googling to compare to other social networks:

We're still very far away from being on Reddit in terms of activity, so this makes a lot of sense. Imagine how much a Steem token is worth when Steemit has as many users as Reddit!

It's really taking off. I've said that 2018 is the year of Steem, but I didn't expect it this quickly. We just need the next Hardfork to make it all happen. Onwards and upwards!
HF20 cannot come soon enough! I had hoped it would arrive before the release of SMTs, but that seems unlike now.
Yes, we need the update on the account-creation asap so more ppl can join!
Any idea when Hard Fork 20 may occur? I've looked for posts about it, but the most recent ones I read didn't really mention time frames. It would be nice to have some regular updates from someone working on it, right?
I think most of us who uses Steemit misses more regular updates from the developers. I don't think that there is a date for it yet other than "soon".

Most of the crypto exchanges are gettting overwhelmed with new users too. I know Bittrex suspended new registrations because my dad tried to create an account there a few days ago. Once exchanges and Steemit work out these capacity issues the sky is the limit. I'll be curious to see how high steem goes on the next wave up. Could be massive!
Binance has limited the amount of new users every day as well, so it is not just Bittrex.
Its soo great to see Steemit going great guns.
Lets hope Suckerberg doesnt try to sabotage us.

Once again, very interesting to see these every day. It looks like we might be leveling off on Steem in vs Steem out. Hopefully that means that we'll see the price bounce back up again, although hanging in here for a while wouldn't be bad either (buy more) :-)......

Almost two times the number of accounts created in the last week of 2017. Also a huge number of people (whales, minnows ) seems to be powering up
and if the Steem breaches the (much expected) $10 barrier, it is going to be an interesting scenario. If the Power Up to Power Down still remains in Green, Steem is surely going to reach greater (and faster) heights in 2018. Steem On!!! :)
I think if they remove the flagging system in the next hardfork, Steemit could see monumental growth in 2018.
The flagging system, coupled with bully abuse via big whales, is the only thing stopping me from going balls deep into Steemit. 🐳

really funny how no one is converting to Steem anymore... If the SBD price spikes again or steem price drops a lot we will see the conversions rise again, for the moment we are at 1,3 and rising (due to slightly dropping steem price)

It is hearwarming to see how our community grows up every week :)
I do think that the price of STEEM& SBD isn't reflecting that rise yet, I think that the community should make an effort and get major exchanges to start trading so more people will have access to steem and the price will become more fitting to the community's growth.
It will also add new users to the platform as people will read about the new coins added and see the idea behind it, and the steem network has a great idea behind it - so I guess it will bring tons of new users and quality content.
Amazing! Steemit platform is entering a bull-run in relation to new users, useage and activity. No co-incidence this is the after effect of Steem and Steem Dollar rises in price.
As I keep saying folks, don't forget to Power up!
I'm really not surprised by this overall increase, I'd only be surprised if it wasn't entering a new phrase of renewed and fresh interest. Steemit to the moon!
