9. Steem Price Update
¯\___(ツ)____/¯ Follow me @penguinpablo for daily Steem statistics.
We will see 400k of registered users in two weeks, probably earlier. Thanks for the report, as always.
but the amount of active users is way way way much lower unfortunately.... people desperately trying to profit and with high greed won't survive anyways... how many accounts to vote for themselves and or bots to do it for them they create.. honesty and fair play is the only way.. but nice to see a growth
I like your optimism.
Thank you for the update
Great report as usual. Interesting to see the new accounts being created lessen over the last couple of months. Would have thought that to be the other way around and very interesting. The difference is almost half.
Hate to see so much Steem going back into Polo. I'm hoping they keep their Steem wallets open, but if they have issues again, it will simply be stuck there for who knows how long.
Are (for example) 100 * 1% votes counted as 1 or as 100 votes in your overview?
I count it as as 100 votes.
Last week, the Posts + Comments report grabbed my attention, like being startled at my own reflection in the mirror. Is that about a 17% sudden decrease in reader engagement over the last couple of months? I've only been here for about five weeks but I've seen defenses raised and some concern about useless posts that are quite common, made for no other reason than to collect pennies. As I settled in and absorbed the "mood", I've been much more conservative with my up votes as well as comments but for a variety of reasons. I see that I'm not the only one. Not by far. Wow, I want to ask what happened? Where did these people come from? But a better questions might be- Who has been promoting Steemit? How and where? (... And are they being -Mindful- of their audience / Are they priming them for success starting- even from that very first impression? It's much easier said than done but I'm hoping that our promoters are embracing All the joys of marketing (lol); paying close attention to metrics & analysis like this one (assuming that it is relevant). Of course I have to be a little self conscious as well, as I technically "arrived on the same boat". Anyway, this is just an impression off the top. Any other thoughts / insights?
In the end I can only affect what I upvote and write, I cannot worry about the others. If enough people do that I believe that steem will survive. You could flag bad posts or annoying posters and I have seen a little of that but have yet to do it myself.
What about active users per day? Is 31k still the record?
Yes. It was a bit lower during the weekend (as usual).
Amazing! Thank you very much.
Everything is just going right for steem. There is a lot of private initiatives to add useful twist to steem. This is a major advantage steem has over other cryptos.
The BIGGEST drawback in view is the approval process to get a steem account. The waiting period is too long. Is there no way to do away with the approval process, so that everything works seemlessly?
Good work @penguinpablo. You rock!
Stressing on signing up by linking one's facebook account to steemit is the only option viable option right now to getting faster approval. The next hardfork proposes a solution which is even more complicated: Account mining 😂😂. I don't know if any of the Devs thought this through in terms making steemit more user friendly.
a very good report
Haha this is actually a really cool post, thankyou :)
Thank you @penguinpablo
Thanks for the insight!
Less comments and less new users.
Interesting.
Thank you!
Nice post.
I noticed the sharp decline in Week 39 in terms of powering up of SBD. I guess it has something to do with the BUMP, upward, of steem's price. I understand, I'm also waiting to power up SBD :)
thank you for update.. . . . .
Active users going up but would like to see comments and posting up more. Stats have been quite stagnate for a month or two.
