8. Steem Price Update

¯\___(ツ)____/¯ Follow me @penguinpablo for daily Steem statistics.
Steem will rise and not just in price.
very agree with you...
let see. I am happy that the price didnt dump after Hardfork dissatisfaction.
We need more people to join up first. If we make Steem more useful and sought after then the price may rise.
Why you need more people?
Price can depend on demand. If it's useful then people will want it
Does the drop in number of posts reflect a reduction in spam? It should be less viable now, but wallet spam is still there. We need the next wave of users to sign up, but they may need some help, e.g. delegation, to get started.
The strange thing for me here is that I almost never see spam on my posts or others. Maybe it only goes to big fish. I actively report what I do see and that is maybe 5 a month.
And I like the spam wallet transfers. Bring 'em on. The more the better. If I am going to deal with 100's of -0- value votes on my posts each week, I feel happy with the transfers, even as I never read them.
I give up on bringing people in here. They leave quick and I lose another friend on other platforms.
I have given the advice to lease delegated sp at least 20 times in the last week in many places - here, discord, fb groups, twitter, chat, etc. I have 1000 sp between my own and leases, so I have no trouble, but these poor little minnows are dying in the vine. @arcrange reports show the die-off. And the whales rejoice!
The spam is not as bad as I might have expected, but it may get worse. Some are being sneaky and adding comments to old posts that they self-vote on. We're finding some of those and dealing with them.
I wallet spam is an annoyance. It won't even make me 1 Steem in a year at this rate.
I really hope Steem can still be a place for all creative people and their fans. Nowhere else pays as many people at all levels. I can't make anything on Youtube. It's still pretty small and needs to grow to really take off. We have to find ways to keep good people here and active. I've delegated to lots of minnows to help them out and I don't expect anything in return.
I think the spam here is dealt with better than most other platforms I'm on. I did not know about the comment thing on old posts and will look out for it as I can. On wallet spam - my mom would say, "treasure the pennies, and the dollars will take care of themselves."
It's good that you are helping with delegations, but you are not able to help everyone and especially not the new minnow with one post and 5 comments who killed his sp in one day. You will not even have a chance to see this person as they slink out the door.
"We have to find ways to keep good people here and active" <<< this should be the royal WE but so far, I'm not seeing it much.
I am trying dtube again for at least the 5th time. So far those posts are not paying as well as my esteem, busy, steemiteducation etc. But I will give it a month. At least I can actually upload on the first try now, so this is progress.
Great report! This is much helpful. Thanks for sharing. ;)
It is good that spam has declined a bit, although there are new users will also have some problems.
also the spam in the block chain is one of the main problems.
We are going towards a prosperous future, full of challenges but they will be fulfilled as time passes.
