I see sending transfer memos containing a link to a video promoting a scam you're involving yourself in to many people as an abuse, and since I can't stop that, I downvoted your posts. Eventually if your reputation score is below a certain threshold, people won't receive notifications from Steemit for those transfers. I don't like it, it's a dirty hack, but that's the tool available.
Please see my post here for more on why I believe disincentivizing Bitconnect promotion on Steem is a worthy use of downvotes. https://steemit.com/scam/@pfunk/promoting-a-scam-makes-you-a-scammer
Again, understood and it won't happen again.
That being said you abused the system by flagging stuff you should had not have. You should had sent a message expressing your opinion before anything else.
Lastly, how do you make reparation for what you did if it turns out your opinion is wrong?
"Flagging" on Steemit is a misnomer, on the database/blockchain level there's no actual "flag" like you would see on any other website featuring a function named that. On the blockchain it's a negatively weighted vote, or for short: a downvote.
The concept of flag is unfortunately a hack that has been stubbornly retained on the steemit.com front end.
I've removed my downvote from this post but cannot remove the downvotes from other posts because of their post age.
