I have been tracking down some Blogs of Interest to me and I find it curious that older post lose the ability to earn steem.
Sure seems like a waste, especially since it is so hard to find things of true interest. I find it difficult to put the time and energy into a post to think it will effectively disappear because mainstream steemit users are not seeing the true value of this crypto language being developed.
Our thoughts, experiences, and the human condition are being recorded for the ages. The true value of these social post will be the ones that are used as technical references for the rest of the generations. No one will care that Whale boy made his millionth steem dollar.
However the one that post complete blueprint and build guide of the H2O based engine would be referenced for ever.
I hadn't realised there was a lifespan for posts to earn steem. How long before a post goes stale?
I think as the user interface develops this will become less of an issue
there is a lot of small things that could be added to make discovery of older posts easier for new users
