I couldn't agree more and am glad you put this to words! There are so many false expectations floating around. The big ass payouts in introduction posts also add to this. I understand the warm welcome, but I feel they add to the frustration of all the following posts earning nowhere near that amount.

Well, I think we should try to give everyone a warm welcome when we notice it but many of the intros get buried because of the large volume. This all comes back to try to set lower expectations. I mention the intros to my friends too. Tell them not to expect a huge one.
