I think the whole idea of being able to downvote is enabling 'censorship' of posts on Steemit. The idea that someone is more successful than oneself, even if you believe that the account is a cleverly managed team of workers is no reason to attack the creator of posts, or comments.

Steemit is supposed to be open to all, not just a select viewpoint that many agree on to the exclusion of other viewpoints. Content will fly or fail based upon upvotes alone, there is no need to downvote, the ability to downvote is I believe a mistake and is used far to easily to punish and to retaliate creating a vicious circle where no-one really wins it consumes time and energy better spent being creative.

Please don't flag me just because I present a view that is not unanimous.
