I have seen the many threads recently regarding the descent of Steems valuation in conjunction with fiat. The one constant I have encountered in my research that has bordered on the edge of OCD is weak hands/strong hands. Finally today I felt the call and cashed in the little remaining alts I had on the exchange and have went all in with Steem.
It doesn't mean I don't have faith in the investment I pulled out of. It means that with so many running around claiming the end might be near, it convinced me it was time to go all in. At these prices I felt it prudent to put my faith in @ned and steeminc. To put my faith in those of you much more tech smart than I, who are working on projects like steempress.
It has been obvious that even this front end we blog on has had the major issue of onboarding, and the possible changes with HF20 will rectify this problem that really needed solved before they roll out anything that would involve a major increase in users. I have faith in this blockchain and what it represents. Unlike so many other great projects, this one is not just vaporware. I have spent the last 6 months watching this community, watching people from all walks of life increase their holdings and many actually cashing out some of their payments and enhancing the quality of their day to day lives. I do not judge the people who do this like some, as it is proof that this entire thing works. It boggles my mind that Dan and Ned were able to devise this, and my appreciation for the gift they gave to everyone, especially the initial miners is huge. This is one of the largest gifts any of us could receive if we can see it and claim it, in my opinion.
Today, I went all in on claiming it.
It wasn't a large amount, after the transfer cut came in just under 120 Steem. But when this chain goes to the moon, and I have faith it will, it is taking all with strong hands and belief with it.
The beauty of this chain, of this social experiment is when you invest here in yourself, you potentially invest in every other person you interact with and upvote. People who teach, people who share their stories that fascinate, their pictures of beauty, their artwork. Cutting out middlemen and allowing a free exchange take place, not only free but allowing me to pay you a small token of my thanks and appreciation. And then I get rewarded back for appreciating YOU. And this works, and has worked for a couple of years now. This is only going to grow as the many talented folks put together so many applications to this chain that it will one day be the brand.
When others are selling, that is when you buy. People are selling now, the bargains are here. What was it, like 13 weeks ago, if that, Steem was selling for over 4.00 USD. You can get it right now for more than a 75% discount over that price.

I get this, I am in the same boat. I just moved across the country, finally landed a job yesterday. Still waiting for my new DL in the mail which I will need to go through the hassle with Coinbase on in proving I am still me. Then I will need to attach a new card which many say has been an issue there recently. Then they say there is a week wait now to actually touch your coins. I have been fighting with myself for days on trading out of the other coin I was invested in and going all in here. I finally decided there were to many reasons to do it and will sort out getting back into the other coin again maybe in a month when I can straighten Coinbase out as well as have disposable income again.

All in! Woohoo! I'm not sure what all in for me means, but I don't think my wife would go for me selling the house (thought at these prices, I'd get pretty darn close to an actual whale!).
Anyway, I do believe now is a time for bargain buying while the rest of the crypto market continues its descent, just so it can roar back again only higher. Seems like a lot of messing around to me, but no one ever asks. :)

Yeah, that's what I am going to do. Not sure what I can't do with just the active key, but I prefer to have the master password, especially now that I am all in on Steem.
I think its a good time to start buying but slowly. Still don't know how low this bear market can go. I like the thought of buying on the way down and having a nice low average price.
I almost took this route but decided due to the benefits from trading now coupled with the risk that there could be an uptick to act now. Once it runs with the bulls again (and it will) I will be thankful regardless.
