CryptoKitties

Wandering around the intertubes, I stumbled onto this article:
The ethereum world is now obsessed with breeding cartoon cats

Ethereum touts itself as an unstoppable “world computer” that will upend industries and revolutionize finance. But, for the moment, one of its most popular applications is a game called CryptoKitties that lets players buy, sell, and breed cartoon kittens. CryptoKitties launched on Nov. 28 and has proved so popular that it’s currently responsible for nearly 4% of all transactions on the ethereum network...

I am no longer much of a gamer. I played a lot of D&D in my day and at one point spent far too much time playing Europa, but those were analog games. Never really made the transition to playing games on a computer, other than a SimCity phase I went through. But, in more ways than one, I’m a bit of an anomaly. Lots of people, including many here, do a lot of computer gaming. Or for that matter, mobile gaming.

If a game like CryptoKitties can take off so fast on the Ethereum network, something analogous could happen on the Steem blockchain.

Steemian developers, start coding!

hi, do you know the smart contracts (addresses of) behind Cryptokitties? I heard there are 7 interoperating smart contracts that powers this Dapp.

OMG! Must have 1! If anybody needs to rehome a kitty, feel free to throw it my way :D
