COOKING/KITCHEN - TIPS.

I'm Prince Samuel Saviour I'll be Anchoring this teaching today.

In this segment we will be discussing 10 important kitchen tips that will be helpful to you.

Number 1. Ever thought of an easier way to peel garlic?

Just put them in a bowl ,cover it and shake vigorously and the peels will come off

Number 2. When boiling your tomatoes and pepper mixture add a little vegetable oil and it will not boil over and mess ur cooker

Number 3. If ur jellof rice get burnt put slice breads on top cover it like 5mins open n remove d bread u find out dat d burnt odour will not be in d rice any more but in d bread.

Number 4. If u hv a left over boil white yam don't throw it away,pound it or marsh it soft,add maggi to taste,small salt,pepper, tatasai or shumbo any one of ur choice,onions mix it well mk it small small sizes,break one or two eggs depends on d quantity of ur yam deep it inside d egg & fry with vegetable oil we call it yam balls,do dis & tank me later best of luck.

Number 5. If you want to parboil ur fish. First wash with water n salt to remove the slimy nature, then add water while cooking it, once it boils, u will notice white foam on it, strain it out cos it's the preservative used to preserve it b4 freezing, then rinse the fish with clean water, add a little water then ur Ingredients for d fish stock, u will have ur fish oil not d preservative... Good luck

Number 6. some already know this but for others that don't
To prevent burning heat of pepper on your hand
Capsaicin is what make pepper hot.
rub oil generously on your hand and cut your pepper

Number 7. Next time you want to peel ginger, leave the knife and use spoon.
The skin ain't as tough as it looks; the edge of the spoon takes off with a very little effort ( even in all of the little crevices and bumps)..leave your knife in the drawer and use your spoon

Number 8. When your food is too salty just peel Irish potato and put inside the food.it reduces the saltiness like magic.

Number 9. If you don't want you plantain to get ripe, Wrap it with newspaper before putting it in a nylon then put it in the freezer

Porridge :: oat ,cereals, pap etc

Pottage: yam,plantain, beans etc
