Giving Back to What We Love
Years ago I was a struggling poor. I was working, but my budget was a couch potato--eating all the food and driving up my utility bills. At this very worst time, my large oven element went out and left me hopelessly lost with no way to bake the big, fruity muffins my kids enjoyed. Speaking to my neighbor, he seemed to read my mind and knew I was hurting. He left and shortly came back with his tools.
At first I refused his help. I was too proud, or too embarrassed.
He simply smiled and said "I'm building my steps to Heaven. Please don't deny me this. It's just a little bit of Love Labor."
How could I resist? I invited him in and he quickly diagnosed the oven's problem and went to get the element. It didn't take him long.
He was so Happy to Help me
I asked if his wife minded him helping out neighbors like this. He smiled and said, "My wife's steps to Heaven are right beside mine. She is very good at knitting and Sewing." It took me a second to realize what he meant. Here was a couple who truly enjoyed helping others when they could through a special kind of Love Labor.
Research does indicate that giving is healthy. source
I've Declined Payout on this post because Steemit has given me a lot of fun. I want to Share with the community and I hope you do too.

I think I will copy that line because it is effective. Some people are not comfortable accepting help. I myself avoid it as much as possible because I am embarrassed. I would probably decline payout when I am in a comfortable position to do so. Right now, there are those I would like to give some or give back to. God bless!
We always hear about being strong. Well, sometimes the other person enjoys feeling strong too - at least that's the way I FINALLY have come to look at life. God Bless you too.
I surely like that feeling too. It also makes you feel in control which make us feel confident.
