I think it is about time to give an update on my garden. First up are our Shasta Daisies:
For those with small spaces that might use containers for gardening I wanted to show the amount of space I have been using, excluding some container growing I do in my small greenhouse: (as you can see I have placed my containers on an old trailer)
We harvested some cauliflower from containers:
Here we have some more cauliflower for closer to Fall. I also have a similar container with broccoli.
This photograph gives a good idea of the size of the container I planted 3 cucumber plants. I set a 5 gallon pail next to it for contrast. I have 3 2 gallon pots in the small greenhouse and even in this heat they continue to produce. For the smaller container I set the whole pot in a tray and fill the tray with water twice a day.
Then to finalize this post, I keep seeing this little guy watering my plants:
I plan on posting another with more of an update of my garden and how it is progressing. It should be posted today.

I regret that I cannot blog all the time. I work 3 jobs, 7 days a week and have little spare time. I am working on some future posts, and I am hoping by late August I will have closed most of my business and have more time to spend on Steemit.

Thanks for your interest and input. I have been pulli n g together photos and ideas for more posts. I also have a very nice shop that i have not had time to gdt back i to my woodworking. Befor August is over i should start having more time. I really have enjoyed it here and just ask followers to be patient as i finish out making changes in my work load.

Ho ok..which plants you grows up under the lights...bro...with out sunrise the plants is not grow health i think...can you tell me underthe lights in a closed areas also plants grows good
I grow many salad greens under lights this time of the year. I also start outdoor flowers and vegetables under lights indoors and then move to my greenhouse. We have cool to cold nights all Spring and Summer so I have to start things ahead indoors. If the weather does not warm early in Summer I can hold the plants for a couple extra weeks if need be. Hope this answers your inquiry.

I have been gardening on my own for over 40 years. I was raised on a farm, so at a very early age the whole family worked in the garden.

cauliflower look v healthy, germinate your seedlings in eggshells, they can be planted directly into the pot!
I like that idea of the egg shells. Will give it a try.
I and my wife like eated brocoli, my wife usually Cook broccoli soup mixed with carrots and potatoes

Leucanthemum × superbum (or Shasta daisy) is a commonly grown flowering herbaceous perennial plant with the classic daisy appearance of white petals (ray florets) around a yellow disc, similar to the oxeye daisy Leucanthemum vulgare Lam. but larger. Shasta daisies are characterized by a distinct odour which some find unpleasant.
It originated as a hybrid produced in 1890 by the American horticulturist Luther Burbank from a number of daisies. First, he crossed Leucanthemum vulgare with Leucanthemum maximum (Ramond) DC.; this double hybrid was itself crossed with Leucanthemum lacustre (Brot.) Samp.[1][2] The resulting Leucanthemum triple hybrid was crossed with Nipponanthemum nipponicum (Franch. ex Maxim.) Kitam., creating an intergeneric cross of species from three continents.[1][2] It was named after Mount Shasta, because its petals were the color of the snow. Some members of the genus are considered noxious weeds, but the Shasta daisy remains a favorite garden plant and groundcover.
Many cultivars are suitable for cut flowers, such as 'Becky', 'Esther Read', 'Silberprinzesschen' (Silver Princess), 'Snow Lady', 'Tinkerbell', 'Wirral Pride', 'Wirral Supreme'. The cultivar 'T.E. Killin'[3] has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

I am pleased it refreshed some memories for you. I too can remember a lot of these growing wild on the farm I grew up on. Pleasant memories I trust.
Please do stay in touch. I have tried city life a few times and always yearned for getting back to my roots. Most of my adult life has been in the country and some acreage. I sold some of my land to my daughter years back to help her get started with her own place. She lives just across a small ravine from my place.
