I wanted to reserve my 100th post (counting comments) for this particular milestone of my first month spent on Steemit. As I'm writing this post, I'm not sure what I will say but it seems like the first thing to say is...

Thank you !

Thank you to all the community of Steemit and to its developers for making this experience a reality.

Thank you to the whales that want to help the minnows out, but also thank you to the minnows that just came in, who probably don't know much about their voting power, but take a moment to check new posts and to interact.

Thank you to all the projects that take place to help those minnows out, simply by upvoting their posts or by making users compete in different areas.

Thank you to all the users that take time making tutorials for Steemit, explanations, websites and add-ons to help us use Steemit more easily.

Thank you to all of you, whether you read one of my posts for the first time or you are a follower of mine. You all made me realize that what I wanted to speak about actually interested some of you.

Started from the bottom now I'm a little bit above the bottom

When I started on Steemit, I wasn't sure what to do. So I checked famous steemians or steemers, whatever you want to call them, and I saw mostly posts about cooking, trips and cryptocurrency. I must say that it was pretty demoralizing at first but then I digged a bit, and by digging, I mean going in the gaming section. It's there that I felt like I could do something good with my love of indie games.

So I did a first quick post about Killing Floor being free for 2 days which caught the eye of @gaming-trail, I still don't understand why to this day since if I could I would delete that post I did. However, getting noticed so fast motivated me to do a post that would be worth the time clicking on (at least from my point of view) and so I did. I post it, share it with my friends just to ask them if they like it, and I wait, I wait, I wait and... nothing. Now money isn't my first concern but one month earlier, it was pretty much why I had joined this platform, which is probably the case for most users. I went to bed not willing to interact with this platform anymore since apparently noone cared about my post.

Next day, I woke up at about 11 am and checked my facebook messages. It was filled with my friends telling me my post had hundreds of dollars on value, not believing them as the good friend that I am, I went to check and they indeed were telling the truth. I was in shock but also incredibly happy of course. Since then, two other posts have made me over a hundred each but it's not the same. Now, I don't care that much about the money, if my post isn't a success, then fine, I'll do another one later.

That's something I'd like to say to new users, you shouldn't care about money, it will come sooner or later anyway. Try interacting with the community and building a following, I may not be the best guy to tell you that with how much luck I've had so far on this platform but it's what I've learned in my last weeks on Steemit.

Now that the emotional and the statistics parts of my post have been done, I feel like talking about what kind of posts I want to make on this platform for the next months, and hopefully years, to come. Since I love regularity I'll keep using my way of writing posts that can be put in a specific serie each.

Already existing series (ordered by starting date)

  • 5 Indie Games You Should Definitely Check Out

Right now, I can say it's the serie I enjoy the most making. Every friday, I talk about 5 awesome indie games hoping at least one of them will interest you. I also translate this serie in french for the french community, trying to post the translation before the next week starts.
  • Bundles Highlight

Although this serie has no recognizable name, I definitely treat it like one. It is aimed to show you some bundles that may or may not be overlooked coming from sites like Indie Gala, Bundlestars,Humble Bundle or any other site that would give a good deal. I plan on giving a percentage of the payouts that I get to the charities linked to each bundle I'll talk about, which is the only thing that should change for this serie as I didn't do that on my two first posts.
  • Songs That Will Never Leave My Playlist

A brand new serie that is the one that doesn't really require any work. I just share with you some of the songs that touched me so much that it is impossible for me to erase them from my Deezer playlist. There will be a dominance of rap since it's my favorite music style but I listen to pretty much any kind of music so you can also find rock, reggae, weird stuff, etc.
  • A french serie in which I give my thoughts about french rap albums, talking about each song separately

New series

  • Indie Games Reviews

I believe it's all in the title. I want to do reviews of indie games like I did in french on Steam 2 years ago (for about 2 weeks lol). The only thing is that I won't give games a rating, at least not with numbers involved, if you want to know why, I suggest reading this post and some of its comments.
  • Youtube's Finest

In this serie I plan to talk about youtubers I watch, I won't really care about their number of subscribers so I may talk about someone with millions of subscribers and then talk about someone with a thousand subscribers on the next post.
  • A super mega giga top secret project

I've been thinking for some weeks now about a community project related to games. I'm not sure if it can work right now though, if not, I'll just try again later in the future, when the userbase is bigger. I'll start talking about it after my exams as I won't have that much time in those next weeks for anything else than studying.

Awesome accounts

Jontron my favorite

Let's close this post with a highlight of some accounts that I absolutely love. Some of them for their content, some for their involvement in the community. Before we start, here are some accounts I won't talk in depth about but that I love too (because they are already well known) : @bot-helper, @curie, @gaming-trail, @gentlebot, @ionlysaymeep, @jerrybanfield, @ocd, @science-trail, @steemitboard, @thing-2

@andjay

Well, I can't talk about users I love without talking about my sister, can I ? She's a big trading card games lover, so if you are interested in reading posts about upcoming packs for Hearthstone for example, go ahead and check her out ! She writes in english and in french.

@ethjunkie

I believe he is one of the first users that I followed on Steemit because my interests are pretty close to his. He's developing games as a hobby and loves to make pixelarts. He will often share with you his creations along with a timelapse of his work. He also gives free steam keys quite often so check him out !

@francosteemvotes

This account is brand new and aims to help french posts get more attention from the french community by upvoting 8 of them per day. They then make a post telling to their followers which posts have been upvoted on the current day. You can't really hate that kind of initiative !

@gaming-stuff

I had to talk about this account, well first of because his post inspired me to make this post but not only ! He does very well written and formatted posts about games and gaming, always starting them with a quote from a game character which gives to his posts an unique feel.

@johnyliltoe

I only follow him for one of the series he makes by I love it so he deserves his place here ! Johnyliltoe does different types of series like Poetry Corner, Horror Club and Indie Game Spotlight. As you may know if you understand my tastes, it's the last one that's interesting to me. In this one, he simply films himself playing indie games that are not so known and basically reacting to them, I've already discovered 2 games thanks to him !

@roxane

Roxane is a belgian user who helps the french community by making tutorials and explanations about Steemit. Beginning on Steemit, I was glad to find her account that helped understand the basics of Steemit way easily than I would have on an english post. She also talks about a lot of different subjects on her other account @malik.roxane

@tga1108

The Gaming Archive does reviews about movies and games that are pretty complete. But what is the most interesting about his account is that he recently started a serie that shares the best game reviews on Steemit each week. I wish him the best and I hope this serie will get more noticed.

@thewriterguy

Originally discovered thanks to his fabulous article about the rise of indie developers which got my interest from the very start, he also writes fiction posts which is not my cup of tea but he seems pretty good at it. I recommand you check him out immediately !

@xervantes

I don't know how he finds the time to post that many quality posts and I'm admirative seeing that. Xervantes does posts mainly talking about tech, gaming, gadgets and multimedia as his bio says. I'm not sure but I believe I first heard about him on @gaming-stuff 's post thanking his 100 followers. I have yet to find a post that I don't like from him, all the ones I read are well thought and written.

God, this post is going to be an absolute hell to translate in french, my head hurts just thinking about it.

Grats on your first month! My first month has gone similarly. I didn't realise how much i enjoyed writing articles. It is surprising how relaxing and stress relieving it is. I also get a little adrenalin boost when i post something and all those upvotes start coming in. So much fun!!

Thanks a lot ! Writing articles is indeed way more enjoyable than I ever thought it would be, it's kinda surprising. It's mainly the fact that I share something with others that is exciting to me. Plus, it helps me practice english so it's awesome ! I've checked your account and it's pretty interesting, I can never find any news about Overwatch (because I don't know any site that would act like hltv.org acts for CSGO) so I followed you to see easily what's happening. Good luck for your next posts !

Awesome! Thank you. I've got some really good stuff coming up. I followed you too. See you around!!
