Happy hardfork!

This hardfork has been incredible. I was expecting a 4X increase but I jumped from 0.02$ a vote to 0.75$ !!

Isn't that insane!

But how long will it last?

Everyone is going crazy over this hardfork with self voting and what not. But will it last forever?

There are two reasons this will not last for a long time:

  1. Increase in payout will give huge amounts of SBD. And if all of it comes to the market the price will go down and eventually our votes wouldn't be of that much value.

  2. The whales come back in full force. If the whales come back and start voting again, the party will end. It will just go back to the non-experiment days like it was in Jan-March.

So guys, use this new found power wisely because-

With great power comes great responsibility!

4.6% really randowhale? But I agree @rahul.stan, with great power comes great responsibility and they faster depletion of your voting power.

Well even 4.6 gave me 14$ so I'm okay with it :p

@randowhale my posts could do with some whale effect, I got some great post, please check them out
@rahul.stan I agree with your statement that with great power comes great responsibility however, this HF19 is about the whales trying to give minnows an opportunity to earn, it is in the minnows interest to invest in steem power. The more steem power, the bigger your stake in the blockchain and the more you can earn. So the smart minnows like me would be investing in Steem power and powering up, in fact, I like all my earns go into steem power. Let the free market work, one great thing about capitalism and it keep repeating itself, you invest in a great product and continue to add shares when it drops because in the long term prices don't stay below book value. So let those who believe they should cash out, cash out, the free market would reward those long term investors. The price of Steem dollars gonna head in the opposite direction, as the community grows, and platform becomes more valuable, the demand for steem dollars would increase. My biggest concern, can steem handle a 24 million user volume? So don't worry about hour to hour fluctuation or day to day fluctuation, there is a reason why investors smile at the end of the year and traders ponder on miss opportunity. The point I am trying to make, steem at its current price is way below its book value, these innovation are to spark interest among users and attract more users, we still beta, so enjoy the innovation and power up. We must not be caught on the assumption that steem in losing value as with our fiat denominators, its the opposite, its increasing in value, so let the free market work.

Okay I just realized that that was still a good thing. Thats a good bump bro.

Hope this will last till more time

I had noticed you had made a deposit of SBD to Poloniex. Did your deposit ever actually clear in Polo? I'm trying to see if ANYONE is able to receive their deposits as it doesn't seem like it has been working for weeks, possibly over a month now...

It has been 24 hours and my deposit has not been credited yet.

Thank you for your reply. I honestly think Polo is just keeping the funds for themselves. It's either that, or they have to manually have their customer support staff credit each user's account. And their customer support is basically non-existent.

There is a large STEEMIT post that is gaining steam (pun intended) where the original poster hasn't received his payment in over a month.

I didn't check my deposit yesterday, but I just checked it now and my small deposit finally hit Polo even though they still have the wall maintenance message up.
