so I've been browsing a lot on steemit these couple of days and there is a lot of talk about reward pool rape and evenly people with great content not getting the rewards they deserve.
then it struck me isn't that what life is like exactly?
for instance @berniesanders has been talking about reward pool rape of some steemians getting so much money from upvotes. but let's ask each other this: how did these people get such a big reputation to have such a big influence?
it's other that kept upvoting them in the first place which allowed them to grow.
that's sort of what's happening in real life. people worshipping others for things that aren't even that special. lets take the a more specific approach. keeping up with the Kardashians. do you know how much people watch it? millions is the answer. anything special happen? nope. anything educational happening? nope.
this is absolutely the same. so they might be raping the reward pool. but people still keep upvoting their garbage and people still be commenting on their stuff
steemit is just a model of how life is happening around us.
with the reward pool being just like money/time
time=money
people watching the kardashians gives them a reason to be on air which is making them richer and richer.
let me know what you think in the comments
Life's not fair is it?
that's true. we have to take it as it is and make the best of it. eventhough we might not like everything. there are somethings that we can't control. someone else's actions for instance
Nice topic, But its just life..
Am from Jamaica, our music is really good, but Jamaicans give Hip Hop artist more credit, I don't know if you know The Great Bob Marley, He is a legend, He passed away about 30 years ago, but he is still the richest Jamaican artist, because his album are sold globally up to this day..
In life a lot of things just don't add up...
that's exactly my point. using the BOB Marley example you in Jamaica would think why not support you local artist instead. but hey people do what they want to do, who are we to judge and say what they should and should not do. what is right for us may not be right is their eyes
idk man. i never was all that impressed with steem to begin with. just use it to store valuable (to me) content, notes and things of that nature, and whatever cents get scraped are just an added bonus.
first of all storing content can be done on a cloud so.
also steemit can be this amazing world where we share each others content and people get to show their appreciation. it's just that sometimes we take things too hard
