I wrote a guide over a year ago on how to find your posting key: https://steemit.com/steemit-guides/@rgeddes/getting-your-posting-key---made-easy
This guide has received over 10,000 views (since Steemit implemented the view counter). It has 583 votes and paid me a whopping $7.65
I made a series of "Steem Guides" and I continue to get lots of comments and hits from Google. From a curation standpoint this should be exactly what Steemit wants - people are searching Google for information and finding my post. Over a year later it is still an "active" post in the sense that it is being read and commented on.
While I think from a CPM standpoint this singular post probably wouldnt have made much advertising revenue - certainly posts that are still active should be promoted, catalogued and rewarded. Sometimes our lowest paying posts become our highest traffic generators!
All of the guides I have made have been for the benefit of others - specifically the people I have on boarded. By creating step-by-step guides I was able to give the people I brought on to the platform a reference so they could confidently participate in everything Steemit has to offer.
Hopefully my guides continue to be relevant and people continue to leave nice comments.
Thanks for your efforts.
I resteemed and upvoted.
I am also sending a little something.
