RE: Content Crusaders: The Fight to Save Steemit Will Fail

in #steemit8 years ago

Great article...My question is who gets to be the arbiter of what is quality content. I say let the free marketplace of ideas decide. If posts don't receive any attention, they will fall by the wayside. The poster will find better material or risk obscurity.

... or bring a bunch of friends to the platform to upvote their content. ;)

Also very helpful. I wish I had friends.

@tuck-fheman Those friends will lack the STEEM power to make a difference, so it's not a problem.

In around 4-8 weeks there is a possible scenario where people will be able to own as much STEEM as an "Orca" for around 1.25 BTC. I'm curious to see how the power evolves here in the coming months. If 7/4 was any indication it should be very interesting.

Yep - pretty much. And if they get the "whale" votes, then the argument is that the "investors" have spoken, so complaining doesn't get you anywhere anyway.

So, content lives or dies on its own merit. Or, you get saved by a whale. Either way, if you don't like it, there's not much more you can do.
