One question I do have, which really isn't about Steemit utilization, is, what do you see in store for the future of Steemit? Do you believe it will keep getting more popular, and the financial system will work as proposed?
I see the flagging wars, and, "Rewards Pool Rape," as they call it, but I guess some problems are to be expected.
Another thing that bothers me is when I see people with a lot of SP that post some silly meme that makes a ton of money, I guess because all their buddies upvote it, and I have to wonder if that can be good in the long run. I've spent hours trying to post a worthwhile article, and have them make $0.00, or very little. It's somewhat discouraging.
I wasn't able to invest any cash in Steem, and I'm not a good writer, so I don't know that I can ever do much on Steemit. I upvote content that I enjoy, but I usually make very little from that. It's pretty difficult for low SP Steemians.
Thanks for your post.
First off let me say DO NOT STOP STEEMING. I believe 100% that Steem will keep growing. They are currently working on a lot of the problems and coming out with smart media tokens (SMT’s) that will cause Steem to skyrocket this year. People getting huge upvote for content with no value usually upvote the, selves and yes you are right, their whale friends that upvote also, but you can’t blame friends for helping friends. All you can do is grow your account. Reason you may not being getting paid a substantial amount is because of the way you market your account. You have to have eye catching titles and a loud picture to pull the readers in, once they click on your post you should have valuable content and they will respond to it in positive ways. Trust me. You have to make sure you’re posting one solid blog a day and that your tags are popular tags that are trending on steemit. Lastly you have to market your account, make a YouTube, Dtube, Dmania and connect all your accounts to pull in more followers. You can even make a website like I did on WordPress and hook it up to your account. Mines brandonscalera.com and all it does is bring people to steemit. Spending a couple dollars on advertising your post with SBD also and just keep pushing. Once you get close to 1000k followers your account starts to take off.
Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I have been busy the last few days, and am just now getting a chance to respond. Actually, I'm not a very good writer, so I post very little on Steemit, but I enjoy the good content on here, and I do upvote that content, and always offer worthwhile comments, not just the "good post" comments that you see so often. I very much believe in Steemit, and I do believe it's going to be HUGE. I also believe that the powers that be will continue working in order to make Steemit the best that it can be. All things considered, I'd say it's really pretty darn good right now, but just has some growing pains. lol
I agree with BRANDONSCALERA. You are at the beginning, and so am I.I am thinking about writing about a subject of which I have some experience, but before I will investigate how to write in a post and also publish news. From this I get a guide, and "start writing."I remind you that every beginning is PAINFUL or DIFFICULT, and mistakes are made, but it is only the beginning. As you publish more and more, you fine-tune your skill and your writing has more quality.Cheer up write everything you can think of (in a draft); then calmly corrects and improves the writing.Follow the advice of BRANDONSCALERA, at least have a BLOG, where you can extend what you expose and much success .....
