What does it mean to "submit a story"?

So when it says to submit a story, does that mean it has to be this long article about something random or can we write a quick "story"?

it says "story" but it means anything that might be going on in your mind, or something you find interesting

You can write anything you want. I've seen long stories (to long to read) and simple, "Good night"-posts saying nothing more than Good night.
What you should post depends totally on what you want, and on what your followers want to read.
So, go ahead and write a quick "story" if that is what you want.
