How about incentivizing NPO's to publish their work here.
1- They open an official user.
2- a dedicated and trusted member of the community works on steps to insure the authenticity of the NPO and the user owner.
3- The NPO then starts to post an introductory to their works and keeps posting on their works and progress.
They can then ask for donations in the form of votes.
4- They show proof of conversion from SMD to $.
Another thing they could do it to post for specific goals they want to achieve and the funds they need.
This of course needs the participation of dedicated whales.
this use case of kick-starting project or donating to different causes can in one way help people and can also be the marketing strategy of steemit.
Personally, i like the idea of making a fund here, not only charity but any others would fit here well too.
We could see crowdfunding , charity funds on steemit , and anything else, because it is our community and im sure we can make great use out of it- to help others , or spread the good word.
I had this thought a few days ago. Charitable donations would be a great way to combat the FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) from competing crpytocurrencies and other people who don’t understand where the money comes from.
Secondly, enabling the smart contracts that @Dan mentions could enable us to not just split earnings between different users, but between different charities too.
I agree - let's establish ourselves as a positive and progressive community by giving away some of the $ created to charity.
The ability to tip directly to the charity page, or from the outset split your post earnings with a charity of your choice.
For sure this could also draw big companies to build a presence on Steemit because they are seen to be donating to charity rather than caring about their own profits.
A possible cap on absolute earnings might be an option too - it would reward the community and remove the temptation to sign up and immediately cash out.
I would love to be able to completely automate @steemleak via smart contracts, extra bonus if we didnt have to dump for fiat adding sell pressure to a thin market..
One thing that will need to be needed as we go more mainstream is a way to reclaim old unused usernames like @wikileaks without being unfair to the original claimant..
Your idea of an urgent need, revolves! you just imagine how much help we can give !! I am very pleased with me! in our community a lot of people who are willing and able to provide such assistance! really want to see the development of your ideas! I think that many support you! thank you!
i agree with you :3
On base the Steem & Bitshares Ecosystems we can build economy of a whole country. I think a lot about it, but its "little" hard to take into account all the nuances.
thank you for this insight! I bought a memory sitck yesterday to hold all these pages i've been bookmarking lol Blessed BE!
Great idea. I posted a similar post a week ago but quite shorter than this. Im really excited of the steem app coming to life..
It's the no-brainer that has been with us since chat... just a "pay" or "contribute" button in any messenger app. Facebook has been too careful to add it to any of their platforms without partnering with the right banks.
👍nice post.... @rok-sivante
I think making any form of Steem phone app. would be a great contribution to the network. You got my UP :)

this has nothing whatsoever to do with the topic.
i.e. "your post is spam."
this is not appreciated. I suggest if you would like to build long-term credibility and success in the community, do not use others' comments threads as an opportunity for self-promotion if the links you are posting have nothing whatsoever to do with the topic.
Hello, please check out my idea on getting more posts rewarded:

That'd be dope. I'd definitely run a fundraiser for my daughter's Playcentre that's in need of upgrading. Good post I have thought of similar things
and just imagine how it could expand out...
you'd need to get the Playcenter to sign up for an account - but once they had it, THEY could run their own fundraising campaigns and let other parents know - so other parents would also get on Steemit too - whether to assist in the playcenter's fundraising or just their own personal use...
exponential growth.
