It's been difficult maintaining activeness here on steemit alongside daily affairs off the blockchain, I hope this will end in few days, as I go mobile on steemit, making it easier to be active every where I go (like MTN in Nigeria). As usual each time I'm online, I always want to utilize my time here by helping newbie/minnows and also interacting. If you've read my posts before, you would have come across this concept; the is no formula to success on steemit, but there are things that position us for success here.
Steem Power (SP) is a major asset on steemit, the More Steem Power you have, the more stake/vest you have on steemit. The SP at your disposal determines your bandwidth, which determines your activities here. The more bandwidth you have, the more activities you can do on the steem blockchain. SP is responsible for bandwidth issues, the reason why most accounts are locked out from activities sometimes is bandwidth exceeded which can be solve by getting more SP.
Beyond bandwidth issue, Steem Power gives us influence on the stkeemit blockchain, your SP is your investment on the steemit blockchain and this determines you stake. It's like in a company, the more shares you have, the more influence you have on decisions. SP determines our voting influence, therefore higher SP gives us a higher influence on votes, i.e we can give more rewards to quality contents.
More SP also has an influence on followers and activeness on our blogs, everyone wants to associate with accounts with high SP, this makes them to follow such accounts and also interact with posts from such blogs. To get more followers and more interactions on posts,, higher SP and spreading of votes is a major factor. This can even be seen in inactive accounts with high SP, their followers range in thousands and interactions range in hundreds whenever they drop a post.
As we watch steem price in it lowest state, it is the best time to acquire more SP for the good days ahead, instead of cashing out SBD to fiat which is also low, it will be more profitable to convert the earned SBD to Steem and Powering Up. This will not only help build our accounts but also place us in the right position for success as things starts picking up.
