This post should encourage many newbies who are already thinking they don't have a place on Steemit.
Maybe you came in with the wrong mindset, maybe someone told you steemit.com pays you for every of your post. well ,steemit.com is not a get rich quick scheme and not a Ponzi, steemit will not pay you for your post, steemit.com owes you no money and didn't promise to give you money when you post.
so what is steemit ?
Steemit is a platform that enables you to share contents that could be rewarded by those who like your contents.
So all you need to do is provide valuable contents, don't post what you like, post what people will like, what you like might be valuable to others.
Upvotes will come when you engage in the community, make reasonable post, make friends and drop good comments on other people's post.
Don't drop shitty comments like "nice post" or "Follow for following" such comments could attract some cute flagging to your comment. It's better not to comment, than commenting shit.

Now, this young lady is a student of the University of Uyo. She is doing well in school and in everything she does.
Some weeks ago she contacted me to ask why she was earning low on her post and we talked and I gave her some tips and introduced her to several discord groups where she started making friends with steemains in other communities.

@florae had more than enough reason to give up on Steemit. she had more than 5 post with $0.00, but instead of giving up like some people do, she decided to find out what she was missing and how to make post that will get the right attention. she did and today the $0.00's are gone.
So don't give up if you're new. it's not working now doesn't mean it won't work at all, maybe you've been doing it wrong, just check out those who are doing well already and learn from them or get close to them to learn personally. there is room for everyone on steemit, just find your place (steem).
