coins will have to set them apart themselves. so far we are still in the btc dominated market so everything shakes when bitcoin shakes. most of the time the price fall is not because of bitcoin its because of some regulation or a news that effects whole market.

I am also an indie game developer and I placed myself in a situation where I have as few costs as possible. I am powering down about 50 steem a week and have other coins to mix in for emergency funds ect. I dont post 10 times a day but I do Dlive streaming and post fairly often. Steem has been a really great platform for me.
aha. why are you powering down, i was under the impression that steem is the best for this kind of market situation. i was doing trading manually and i have developed a bot to help with some stuff in trading and in steem. in such a bearish market which spans over several weeks i was actually going to power up.
I need the money for life reasons. And I am earning roughly the same amount back from content creation anyway.

Nah, I am doing things mostly in a straightforward manor. Using the voting power I have to encourage stuff I like to see and trying to keep it as real as possible.
