It's time consuming and it can be very disheartening when people don't read your posts BUT you need to stick it out and here's why:
- You develop your writing skills. I'm dyslexic and it really has helped me to find create ways to proof read!
- It is the best way to get noticed in google. Seriously post in the right tags and check the search engine periodically.
3)You earn money....YES YOU DO! I don't let it sit in the steemit bank (although it's a good way to invest I'm told) It's paid for 3 holidays so far! - You get more creative, seriously it's addictive.
- People behavour better on here than other social media sites and is controlled better.
- You can promote your business...well I wouldn't recommend you go overkill but if it's interesting enough it could be your business blog!
- You make friends internationally. Culturally it's fascinating.
- You can blog and easily link up to social media at the click of a button.
- If you slack off you will find it hard to keep up. Race to the top, that's where you will benefit!
- Finally you can be part of a growing social media platform that will make a massive social and financial difference to bloggers across the world. It truly is amazing!

Great advice! It can be discouraging to see posts only reaching $0.03 or even $2.00 when I see so many with $20+ in upvotes.
Regardless, I'm learning to practice what I preach and be patient ... progressively growing the daily value.

how long have you been on steemit?!
since September but didn't start blogging reguarly till mid November. I haven't invested any steem or money or invested anything I have made. It really does work. You don't need to invest anything if you haven't got it or dont want too which is the beauty of this! Saying that if you wanted too you may earn money quicker. I just go at a natural pace and I enjoy it.

What's great about Steemit is that it welcomes such a wide range of content... you can build a following for a particular niche interest, and you can use it as part of a wider effort to just build "Brand You" through social media.
