Belimbing sayur ini banyak di gunakan masyarakat Aceh untuk membuat sayur, begitu pula belimbing ini juga di manfaat masyarakat Aceh untuk membuat sunti atau asam sunti dalam bahasa aceh.

kita tunggu sampai dua hari agar garamnya bisa masuk dan menyatu ke belimbing sayur kemudian baru kita jemur sampai dengan empat hari.
