Today @ned announced a new steem based protocol, Smart Media Tokens.
What does it mean? It means that other sites and content creation platforms will be able to monetise their users for producing, voting and commenting on content just like we do on steemit. All with their own tokens which run on the Steem blockchain.
Wait, what does that mean? The Whitepaper is here. It's quite technical. Fortunately I am not going to talk about that much. Like most of you I am going to wait until the clever people read it and post their analysis on it. Hey, it's what the smart people do :-)
What I am going to say which is really important, is to remember.
It started with Steemit. You are part of the beginning of something huge.
This is the game changer that has the potential to bring crypto to the masses in a way that no other coin or platform has managed to date.
There is no other site like Steemit that has a working product and a large user base which create and successfully receive monetary value for their content. As Steemit continues to develop and work on the Platform. The future for Steemit can only get brighter. The news today is proof of this.
Sit back, steem on and enjoy the ride!
I've been reading all posts on these SMTs (still haven't opened the email from Steemit, yet) because as you say - that's what smart people do! Sounds really exciting, but for non-technical people it is quite challenging!
I did try to read the white paper but I found it very challenging too! That's what I think it's great about steemit best, this time tomorrow there will be loads of posts laying it out in simple terms :-)
Hopefully...I've checked the whitepaper just now...my head hurts!!
I had to pour a glass of wine after my attempt lol
Great info so helpful upvoted:)
Thank you :-)
