Since HF19 a few things have changed
Something which I'm interested in with regards to the changes on how many votes that you can cast while giving 100% voting power from 40 upvotes to 10 votes.
Thoughts
So far I think it's been great, posts receive bigger payouts than before because the voting power has increased 4-fold, which keeps everyone motivated and steeming away on their keyboards writing some quality posts, but on the flip side, I feel like it has been more difficult to choose which of these quality posts that you want to upvote.
To add another issue in the mix, whenever I write a post and people comment on it, there is always good things that people say which makes me feel like upvoting them too, as well as the fact that people are taking the time out to comment on my posts, I feel like I need to give something back to them, even if it is a lowly minnow upvote worth about 12 cents!
So it begs the question
What are your methods to sharing your 10 upvotes each day?
Do you just go with the flow and whatever 10 posts or comments that you like first, get the upvote?
Or maybe you keep them for people who comment on your posts only?
Do you have a particular system that you stick to?
I'm interested to know what my fellow Steemians do with their upvotes and why.
Let me know your thoughts, and thanks for reading this!
If you use the eSteem app, you can change your vote weight from 1-100%.
This will allow you to vote on more content! If you set to 50% it halves the reward the author receives but will allow you to vote on the 20 articles again.
No more strategising - unless you find a great post that you want to upvote.
Hope this is useful.
I did not know about this!
Thanks for blowing my post out the water haha!
Appreciate the comment and I'll be sure to have a look at eSteem!
Upvoted! :)
Someone was explaining that ultimately you will wind up with more if you have it set on 50%. I can't remember who said it, but you may want to look into this more and ask someone who really knows about this info. The person who said it really understands how things work. Just want you to be able to accumulate the max. I just try to search for things that interest me and upvote. When I run out, I just comment. I might go back another day to upvote when I have more to give.
Thanks for your post.
Thats interesting. I'll have a scan about. That's the thing about this platform, quite a lot to learn which might make it difficult from going mainstream. But I suppose we could look at bitcoin in general and the success that's had.
