The relatively new account of @iconzbranding is making quite some waves here on steemit.com.
He's receiving a lot of praise for his wonderful drawings... but there's a problem, they are all stolen.
Let's take a look at his latest introduction post from 3 days ago:
Lawrence. H. U. (born 17 January 1988) an artist from Nigeria in West Africa. He lives in Abuja capital city of Nigeria, where he grew up.
That's rather strange. The artist who is publicly known to have created the art published under this account is called Arinze Stanley Egbe - and his official website tells a different story:
Arinze Stanley Egbe was born on 20th November 1993 in Lagos, Nigeria
This alone doesn't prove anything. So let's look further:
"My Ink Work" he also claims to create stunning art with a ball-pen.If you thought @iconzbranding is only good with a pencil, no in the recent post
Problem this time: a quick google search for the image reveals that it is widely known to have been created by another Nigerian artist called Chijioke Anyacho.
@iconzbranding likes to publish a what's-app number +2348067579669. Maybe we should send him a text or two ;)
It couldn't be any more obvious, could it?!

Have you witnessed similar things yourself?
Don't just ignore it and move on... let me know!
Attention! One of the plagiariser's posts has been featured by @curie and is receiving major rewards from heavyweight upvotes by @anwenbaumeister & @hendrikdegrote etc...!! This has to stop!
tips hat@curie has heard our call and removed their upvotes!
Great call @curie! And good work @sherlockholmes. You're doing great work.
thanks for the support!
Thank you for your work in exposing plagiarists. If you haven't already, you should connect with the steemcleaners community, they are also working hard to reduce the abuse.
When I find suspect material, I usually research it a bit to give the poster the benefit of the doubt then comment tips to improve their presence on Steemit. Some people are just ignorant of how to create original and valuable work.
yeah, @steemcleaners have been informed!
Thank you for this. His actions do not in way represent the nigerian community and we disavow such a lazy and heartless individual. I will report him also to the nigerian curation team and we will keep a close eye on him. Thanks once more.
cool
Thank's for the investigation sherlock!
