i agree with that they ought to have some serious weight to invest. But their votes should not be the only ones that matter (they are, currently).... DO i think the founders should have the same say as someone that say put 10K into steem power? No, they should have more. But how much more.
ATM, a whale vote is worth around 20,000 times what a $10K investor vote is. And most of the founders control multiple whale accounts. And no, i don't know what the right porportion is, but i think that what we have is too much.
If nothing else, having whales with so much clout that no one else has a say is going to deter investment. I know its stopped me from powering up. I have about $30K worth of steem, but why invest it to bring my vote value up 2 cents? Ultimately, as people start to realize this and power down, its going to hurt the value of the currency and the payouts.
