Very good points you state here.
The biggest problem of the platform, however, is one that is not an easy fix.
SteemIt Inc. has created the platform, and turned away from it. A lot of problems could be easily solved if they would actually give a sh*t.
But no, SteemIt was created, and then they left it, left it to die because of abuse.
If they would step up and enforce the ‘rules’ that they’ve written in the FAQ, there would be no vote buying, there would be less spam,...
But they don’t.
There’s a huge phishing scam going on. The accounts that transfer the stolen
money to Bittrex are known, yet nothing can be done, since only STINC has the power to do something about it.
I admire everyone that wants to make SteemIt a better place. I’m trying to do so myself, together with hundreds, maybe thousands of others. But I’m afraid that no matter how hard we try, we’re going to need some help from the creators to clean this place up...
You know ... you are correct ... but I am so darn optimistic about what they have left us if we stick together that we will bring it back into proper focus for them. @ned still has a significant investment here (we'll to the average person) and is really hoping SMT's will be able to propel this along.
I've never given up without a fight unless I could see no value in the prize. There is value in in this prize.
Blessings!
There is indeed a value in this prize, I agree.
It’s the *if we stick together’ part that I’m not so optimistic about. Mzybe that goes for the ‘new generation’... once we all grow up and have some kind of influence, things may change for the better. But now there’s a huge part of people who are here for the community, and an equal part (with more money) that is here for the money.
Agreed.
