Yes you should definitely keep going although starting with a new account on steemit isn't always easy. but sticking with it pays off!

i couldn't agree more! Myself and Steemit have a love/hate relationship most of the time! Most nights I am angry with it, but it's still the fist thing I check in the morning =)
