Great little article, with some names for the fay folk I've never heard before. In Cornwall in the UK there are a race very similiar to gnomes know as Knockers or Nuggies who used to live deep underground in the Cornish Tin mines and probably still do live in these now abondoned mines. They got their name by the fact that those who followed their ghostly tappings would occasionally find huge seams of tin and other precious metals.
thnks, for visited.
yes, probably it same gnomes on your country but different name.
on my place gnome as we knows as Ebu gogo.
I just looked up the Ebu Gogo, now they are interesting. I wonder how they link in with the tales of smaller wild men found across the rest of the world, especially in North America and in regards to the smaller Yeti in Nepal who are alleged to eat people as well. (the bigger yeti eat Yaks).

latest story that i ever heard, ebu gogo killed 2 expeditions team who wanted to research birds species at 'Ua lama village, Flores in 1977.
it has been a controversial story moreover on the planet animals.
some people says it's a fake story but some people believes that ebu gogo still exist on the deep forest.
and i believe it! because some places on my country has many mystery. such my dad's experience that he ever saw a weird big bat, and looked like an "ahool". big big bat and have face like a monkey.
Thank you, I will have a read up on this incident and see what come to light. I believe there are many mysteries still unexplained by science in this world. The story your Father tells has some similarities to creatures seen very rarely here in England ( and of course denied by the main stream world). So I wonder what he actually saw ?
