Truly it is not easy to convince someone to be committed to a long term gain! Like the 'commenters' before me have said, the problem is mostly on the 'get rich quick' mentality.
Also, some who do not have this mentality still find it difficult to get few cents on their posts. When you drop a post and it is upvoted, it means recognition and LIKES to most minnows. It is a booster to their feelings.
Like @surpassinggoogle usually advised that we should have different methods for bringing people here and make sure the monetary aspect is last! It sound 'hard' though but it is the way to go.
