Steems Promote Post option is useless due to new trend of people giving away SBD

I noticed over the last week more and more people are posting "blogs" giving away Steem Dollars for a like, comment, resteem and follow.

At first I thought it was a win win like many others did when and I even resteem a post. Eventually I saw more posts and I read the comments saying it was a win win. However after doing the math and seeing the payout of the posts , the people posting and asking other users to do this are making out like bandits.

Especially because these posts on average will pay you .02 to .1 SBD which literally is no more than a penny to ten cents and ten cents is if they are feelings generous. Most of these post pay you closer to a cent.

I looked at these posts and saw that they all have approximately 50 comments give or take. So if the commenters also upvoted , followed AND resteemed the post, the original poster ends up getting anywhere from 5 dollars to 25 dollars for a post like this. They end up only giving away around 1 SBD and make a profits of at least 4 dollars.

Not to mention they gain more followers this way and continue to make a ton of dollars in their future posts since most people will still follow them after getting their .01 SBD.

To the people posting threads that pay people out in SBD I suggest you stop being greedy and pay 1.0 SBD. You end up profiting anyways and for some people it is not worth their time to spend that much energy promoting your page for a few cents, while your ROI is 100x that amount for posting content with so little thought put into it.

Also this is a flaw in Steemit's promote feature where people can pay SBD to have their post promoted for visibility. So that concept is useless when the users can do this instead
