RE: "steemit? Never heard of it. Is it like FaceBook?" "No, my friend. It is so much more than that...."

That's awesome!! She really was listening! My son is also on here now. He's into music, poetry, and anarchy. He's @anarchyandbread. As far as tags it just depends on what she's into. There's lots of video game people on here that write about that. My daughter pretty well stays in the art. And anime communities. She also writes fan fiction, and there's a lot of that on here too. Of course I'm sure you're aware there's writing and art on here that is pornographic. Not sure how you or her feel about that, but it's good to be aware.

Thank you and yes that did cross my mind but as for my own experience, I have seen a handful of pornographic images on steemit( lol just realised the pun, "handful"). I have my restriction on so it just doesn't seem to pop up (that one was on purpose ;)
I will put your kids on my follow list and see if I can help support their work. They are the future! Lol, well some of them are...

Oh Lord, the puns!!!!! I have talked to my older kids about all that already, so I don't worry about it. If they want to watch/read it, they will. I just ask them to be aware that industry is full of abducted children and try to steer clear of anything dark. Thanks for putting the kids on your follow list. I'm trying to get my daughter to get back in the groove after her little break.

You don't know what you have started...
I have just had a very interesting conversation with my daughters school about bringing the pupils onto steemit as a safe place to blog. They sounded pretty impressed with the idea and at least everyone wins with this. Kids safe and slightly supervised and the schools gets a new revenue to buy equipment with! Bet they still turn it down. That is good advice for your kids to consider and I will be stealing that bit of parenting wisdom from you :)

Schools continually baffle me. They seriously just can't allow good ideas. They cut the nose to spite the face daily.
Glad that bit of advice resonated with you. I don't have a moral issue with it. I just know that industry has a lot of evil people preying on the young and weak. If it was all adults treated well and properly compensated, I'd really have no issue with it.

Haha, you offering? THAT WAS A JOKE!!
Totally agree, lets hope they see the potential...
