Isn't everyone here trying to abuse the system in some way? Between bidbots, self-votes, and abuses such as the above, isn't the majority of the people on this platform working in a selfish manner?

No, I'm not. Actually, a lot of people aren't. I spread my upvotes around, even though they aren't worth much, I try to incentivize people to use steemit and post more creative content.
Somewhat valid point, but not all of us have a nice juicy delegation from SteemInc to propagate our selfish behavior with. If he was doing this sort of thing with his own investment, that would just be one more circle jerk in a pool of such behavior. It is the fact that he is doing it with Steem Inc's steem power that is the biggest issue for me.
All of the @mrdelegation projects need to be held accountable for the use of the resources they have been given access to. These projects are meant to be for the betterment of all of Steem, and not just rewards for having a bright idea so you can bleed the reward pool to your heart's content.
I am sure many many people have wonderful intentions when they have an idea for a Steem front end, but getting a taste of those rewards when you suddenly have a delegation to ply with can be pretty tempting. Some people can't resist the temptation to sim as much as they can for as long as they can.
