I agree that looking the other way is not the answer. Thats why we have @steemcleaners and @themarkymark and @berniesanders and others who are proactive in letting the scum know that what they are doing will not be tolerated here.. Thank you for your commment

Yes, kudos to those who do their part; but, occasionally scammers fly under their radar.
Many directly affected did nothing to sound the alarm. By the time the light shone on the problem, poof...gone.
It's a community effort. We all have to do our part. If something doesn't seem right, the majority will create a post sounding it out.
Thanks again for your post, which keeps the conversation going.
Hopefully, those who lost will use their experience as a teachable moment for new Steemians.
I do believe a temporary stop-gap measure needs to be put in place to deter the quick-draws in question.
