7 Types of Steemit Users: Here's Everyone on Steemit
![](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmPPGpLizKVJLfjxonJdcTpbkVbaVbDeujopEavFcwWBkV/image.png)
Hello everyone, so yesterday was the day in which I delved into Steemit and how it will change Society.
Today I have a far less idealistic post, and one that is lightweight and prone to take a smile out of you.
I'm a pretty new Steemian myself, but I noticed a great pattern on different Steemit Users.
While there are definitely more types of users, these are some of the most popular ones, and here's how each of them behaves (as well as some tips on how to identify them).
So, without further delay, here are the 7 Types of Steemit Users you'll encounter on your Steemit odyssey.
The Spammer:
The Spammer is someone who was just browsing the web for "Make Money Online" articles and found Steemit in the middle of one of the posts from his Guru of choice.
He knows he is going to make it big, after all if the system is based on votes... how can he not game it in order to cash out big?
The plan is perfect. He is going to set up a bot and rip news from blogs in order to win some big moolah.
Now it's time to execute it... but what's this? This is too easy!! He already got his first comment AND upvote!
A guy named @cheetah is already going crazy with his article and upvoted it, even bothering to comment.
Oh sweet, this is easier than it looks.
Two days later none of his posts have a single upvote and the number close to his name is going down.
Time to switch it up... creating more accounts or becoming the next type of user.
The Begger:
The Begger sets up his account and looks at the flashy dollar signs close to the 0.00 numbers. He begins to drool.
All he has to do is to get people to vote for his stuff and he is golden.
First off, he needs to create something. However, it takes too much work to write, and copy paste is frowned upon.
The Begger usually knows Cheetah is no friend of his, and he has a bad opinion of @patrice as well.
Hence, it's time to go steal a photograph.
Photo published.
Now, the begger only has to go to other posts type on the following:
"Sir, can I resteem your post?"
"Vote my post help plis"
"Good Contente. Follow me am new"
"Am new vote follow go to article"
The beggar also spotted some bots giving out free money... time to join those communities in Discord to spam the same words as above.
After all, if you want money, what better way than to ask for it?
The Newbie:
The Newbie upvotes, and he upvotes a lot. Having "Facebook Syndrom", he never learned that you have a voting power gauge and that gets depleted.
Having said that, he eventually figures it out... but it's too late.
He likes to tell everyone he is new, who knows people may feel the need to help him, and he sure as hell's going to take it.
He learned about contests and challenges and competes in them all. He follows everyone and sure enough his feed starts to resemble the "NEW" tag on Steemit, with a bit of everything and most of the Spammers under his radar.
He doesn't know it yet, so he upvotes those ripped news.
Finally, he sees posts get him some money... time to scratch that Instagram syndrome and post everything he ate last week, his dish today and prepare a huge memory card for his trip to grandma's house where he can take a macro shot of every duck, chicken, pig and bee in a 2km radius.
Eventually, he learns and evolves... adapts, improvises, overcomes!
The Veteran:
The Veteran is a Steemit user full of scars.
He knows damn well his votes are limited and he holds on to them dearly. He studies the ecosystem, looking for good friends and allys, and sometimes even gets out of his way to help the promising Steemit user.
On the other hand, he has a bit of his voting power reserved for flags, and he isn't afraid to use it on the Spammer and even on one or two beggars that are crossing the line.
All he wanted was to become a whale... he is bitter at the thought that he still couldn't do it, but he knows it is just a matter of time and persistency.
The initial dazzlement on Steemit and its fast lane is dissipating as he sees more and more flaws in the system. The search bar sucks, the interface sucks, most people in it only publish the random shitpost and make contests, lottos, and enlish the aid of delegation and bots to game the system and guarantee their stake.
He isn't giving up... we will accumulate more scars until one is on his back and used for breathing... a symbol of the whale - the breathing hole!
The Silent Whale:
Who knows who they are? Well, some Veterans know...
... they are stealthy, hidden, don't talk, they scour the wasteland of stupid shitposts to find hidden gems.
When they find one, they surface with a vote.
A VOTE OF LEGEND
A vote that shakes the ground and that sends whatever guy who posted the article into overhaul. Nobody knows what happens but the waves are felt everywhere.
He then fades into obscurity once again.
The Hero:
He made it, he is now followed by everyone, applauded by everyone... if he publishes one or two good posts every now and then he guarantees the ability to mostly publish cat photos and still make a killing.
There are some heroes who even get so much they are called "Reward Pool Rapers" by the Saltmine Steemers.
He made it. The dream is true. He has the power to help everyone - but will he do it?
With great power comes great responsibility!
The Saltmine:
Oh the agony. He angers about everyone's else success.
If someone else has less Steem Power and Earnings then him, he is a noob. But if the opposite is true, he is an exploiter, a rapist or just networked the wrong way.
He is angry at everyone who succeeds, and takes great pride in putting newbies to the ground.
He waves his flags around, shouting at the heavens he is not afraid to use it to smite anyone who goes against his holy book!
More than anything he is salty, his mouth dry, his lips chapped.
He wants the sweet release of more rewards, and he wants them now!
So, these are some of the most common Steemit users there are on this ecosystem. Of course these aren't the only ones that exist, but they definitely are among the funniest to talk about.
Remember people, I repeat the quote on the hero part - With great power comes great responsibility.
Steemit is a platform that can change the world, as well as crypto, blockchain and the new decentralized mindset.
Drop your mindset of scarcity, help each other, grow, distribute wealth to those who need it the most, and reward effort!
Effort and value should always be rewarded.
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS, DIWALI, HANNUKAH, or Whatever!
I wish you a Happy New Year as well, full of everything you need it to have.
By the way, Im not an hipocryte (hypocrite)? I just drew a blank on how to write this word, but Im not a native speaker so you get it.
Continuing, I'm not a hipo... stuff, so I'd love you to vote, resteem and comment.
Cheers!
Max

Funny to see how u got them all. Im sure ur friend @underground helps u a bit to identify all this type of users. But yeah u got them all.
Edited: Nah nvm, im sure u got them byuself. U are not new at all :))
I wonder what type of user u will be.. :p
Merry Christmas mate.
I am indeed new.... I have 10 days or something. And yeah @underground didn't help, he is too busy collecting profit from his shennanigans :P
Yeah well, welcome mate, as i see u are doing things properly already.. And u you are very observant since you realized immediately what types of users u can see here on steemit.
Welcome and enjoy!
Pure gold this! Resteeming this.
My classification? I am a permanent newbie.... career minnow
![New Bitmap Image.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmUrcKkd77ZP1QP5tdeEZW15tTZWpH4tVcrjKckk1Y7iHp/New%20Bitmap%20Image.jpg)
Thanks for the resteem. As for the career minnow, well you'll grow with time, as we all will.
I have to say this is funny and entertaining, good list
Thanks man!
It is very good to see these kind of handmade productions nowadays. People are mostly loosing their patience to produce something. It is more easy to buy it on a shop with a price but without a value.
I love to wear or use handmade stuff. It is more cheap and valuable :) hope to see more ...
I wholeheartedly agree... people seem to take the path of least resistance forgetting that to take value, they have to add some in.
In ancient tribes, if people wanted a fish, they would make or grow something to give the fisher.
Cheers!
these are really good descriptions but I still do not know what i am! I can take out spammer and newbie
These are some of the types that exist... not all :)
Excellent post and vision of the community here. Well, I'm a veteran, but at the same time, I really help newbies and hate spammers, I do not know what category I am in :)
I just mentioned 7... there are SO MANY! :D
Thanks for helping out newbies and for stopping by! Cheers!
Great post. I made me laugh. Everyone know at least 4 or 5 people we could put on this list. Hahaha
Yeap, agreed stacker :D
WOW! Great Post, right outta the box in your New Apprenticeship! :D
Resteemed also...
Thanks brozini!
PS: Don't forget to properly attribute your pix, so you don't get a nasty bot note! As your exposure grows, you will be scrutinized more by the bots!
O.o
Good post @spiritualmax! Many of these made me laugh. Good luck on Steemit and I hope you remember us little guys when you're a whale 😁
I will bro, I will...heheh, thanks for the show of faith!
unleash the culture!
Unleashed!
Great ...
Thanks.
