I was actually intending to write up an article on the differences between pyramids, ponzis and bubbles. In each case the end result may be that the average guy losing his life savings - but there are some differences.
It's a terrifying view to see what people become when given too much power. This is the birth of cryptocurrencies, from the moment Bitcoin appeared. The lack of regulation makes people too brave to harm their peers with the promise of their own personal pot of gold waiting at the end of a rainbow wrought with the blood of their neighbor.

I've had some friends who got into this because the idea of cruising on easy street was just too much of a temptation.
It was as if common sense was thrown out the window with the many dollar signs passing through their eyes.
In the months that they were making money they lorded it over to me that they making so much money and putting it back in so that it could compound to more interests.
No words from me swayed them until that fateful day that it crashed.
Yet never did I gloat it over because I knew how much the investing in it. Houses and lands will be taken away, cars worked on for months returned, lives broken because of greed.
I am still trying to get them to Steemit. Yet a lot of them are now afraid of any blockchain related stuff.
Maybe someday they will think about it and get into Steem and embark again on the future.

A lot of people are freaked out with Steemit initially... it does sound too good to be true. But we're here, and my rewards keep on coming everyday...
People just need to understand how it works, and you can figure it out here, unlike in BitConnect because obviously nothing was working.

For me the weird thing is, here are so many users hating and despising the government, they want an unregulated cryptocurrency. But when things go down, they cry for justice.

The ultimate lack of regulation is anarchy. In an "unregulated market", the people themselves would regulate it. Written laws or unspoken laws. The social contract is always there as a soft wall to mold our conducts, both done by the individual and the community that surrounds them with expectations of decent behavior.

Yeah I didnt like this post. Specially the video this guy seemed a lil wierd the way he said black people little sketchy and he wants the russian mob to take care of trevon 🤣. I agree it sucks what happened in bitconnect allot of pepl lost what they couldn’t afford to lose. I only lost a couple hundred dollars I put in to blog about it but I expected this all to happen and everyone knew bitconnect was very risky before they got in. You are responsible for your own actions. Dont go blaming others when u get greedy and go for a risky investment and lose it all.
With that being said if any of these guys actually did know this was ganna happen in a couple weeks and kept promoting it all the way till the end knowing whats about to happen. Thats wrong but I honestly dont think these guys knew.
They knew it was going to happen, that's why they stopped promoting it weeks before... as soon as they knew it was going to burst.
Thats what I thought when I first heard about it but we cant prove that they really knew. It will be interesting how this class action lawsuit plays out. I want to find out if these guys really knew or not.
For Every SCAM this is true, but not for every Boom. WEALTH is not a "Zero Sum Game", not by a long shot. For true wealth generation, EVERYONE can theoretically Gain Wealth. But throw in Human Nature, and there will be some losers. I did not watch the video of "I Lost My Life's Savings" because CLEARLY, that man was FOOLISH. You Do Not PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET so to speak... And this is why! I am fortunate to have many options, but all of these were "untouchable" and I got hit HARD in the Real Estate Bubble of late 2008. Lost 33% one quarter. But that was just out of one of these untouchable retirement plans. However, I have done quite well for myself BECAUSE of That 'kick in the nuts". I started buying Silver and Gold. Silver is about dead even with my initial buy-in price but that will change if this latest market correction gets worse. On the Cryptos, I am still showing a good gain in Steem. I also have a back-burner coin (1.3 million) that has much promise. But I have another thing, DIVERSITY. Gladly So!

Does he need to be stopped? Sure. Does he and his family need to be put in physical danger? No way.
Though it's not the greatest, we DO still have a legal system in the USA. Until that dissolves, let's use it. 😉

With Gamergate and 4chan we've seen the way the internet and social media can be weaponized .. its seriously dangerous. I dont know Trevon and I agree he was probably knowingly scamming people, but the attacks and lone justice style response is dangerous. Trevon was successful doing something many people here are trying to achieve: create a crypto marketing cash flow through gaining followers and leveraging his "online celebrity" cred .. regardless of his backers or what was really going on, his cred now is spiralling down to zero. Before we scapegoat, we should think how we would feel to be in his shoes .. does he deserve the flames of hell? I think karma always comes around, we all know crypto is a big gamble anyway and he was riding the same wave many other jumped on. Trevon, it seems, is losing big now, and imho its wrong to judge lest thy be judged, know what I mean? Peace out.

Watching the video right now... this made me really sad. There are so many new influencers on the social media platforms, and they establish themselves as experts. Most of them have good reasons but there are those who don't and it's harder and harder to distinguish them.
Time to think for ourselves guys. Get your information from different sources and think for yourself!

You made a good point by saying people forget that these victims are human. This is a reason I think revealing his address and what not is completely over the line; these people deserve to get theirs, but through financial justice, not a mass murder.
