RE: Steemdiffuser just powered up!

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Yeah. Commenting is a good way to spread the word also. I think they will focus on big bots first but they won’t care what bot it is if they see it. I understand why they do things like this... I obviously don’t agree with it, but unfortunately there is no convincing them. This is a main reason I have stopped posting in my personal account. It sucks but for now it will be 3.5 days. The owner of booster recommended I make the change and I trust his judgement (he didn’t back their stance on this by the way). They may just force bots to stop in the future so who knows...

Sort:

Again, minnowbooster and booster did not appear in their list.
Did fyrstikken surrender without being threatened?
And who owns minnowbooster (buildteam, but who are they?) and grumpycat?
Who owns curie, which buildteam vote for as a witness?
Does grumpycat belong to checkthisout?
Would also love to know who owns the accounts adm, freedom, thejohalfiles.
I saw noganoo claim pfunk owns adm.
And who does the undelegations? Is it a human? If not, who wrote the undelegations script? because it is not consistent/equal.

Yeah. Couldn’t tell you who owns all those accounts... can only speculate. There are a couple delegation scripts that can be run for delegate and undelegate. It requires the delegating party to provide a private key or run the script themselves.

You should blacklist all of those whom you wrongly refunded until they refund you in full.
This way when they ask why, you will answer them.
Or are you fine with not just spam promotion, but spam promotion for free.
And did you see the recent grumpy thread?
I think it answers explicitly regarding whether you should fear.
I gave checkthis out (grumpy is him) 2 full powered downvotes yesterday.
Once he returns the favor, I will be honored.
And you and fyrstikken fear him.

Nah, that’s my fault... I should have just stuck with the no refund policy like all other bot owners do. The timeframe was moved back to 6day old posts a few days ago.

Why not 6 days, 16 hours?
Please inform me if or when you adopt the no refunds policy so I will minimize my use of the service and my bids accordingly.
You should claim your funds back.
If people will break into your house and still your equipment, it will be your fault too.

I may extend the time some. Now that I’m fully operational on a VPS and run automated refunds there shouldn’t be any interruption in service from my end. I’m working on tweaking the voting trail to maybe give proportional votes for above average bids as well as some additional features for the bot. Thanks again for the support!

I just state the truth.
My expressed support means little.
Just see where I send my funds to.
You should revise your automated refunds since they already failed you.
The frontrunners' votes should be proportional to the bid minus your own expected vote divided by the relative bid, or something like this.
It is fair enough that minimal bids, and close enough to minimal do not receive fronrunners' votes at all.
To incentivize new frontrunners, and keep the current ones, and increase fairness, I would have considered partially rewarding them with SBD's, directly proportional to their voting power in each vote.
I do not mean to give them your entire received payments, just a share of a part of it.
I would also consider not using the frontrunners to vote on an already voted content, once it has over 1 vote and over 1 cent in pending rewards, or something in this spirit.
What else do you think you can improve?
I fear that outside of my ideas, it can only be ruined.
