RE: Steem Dollar "Counterfeiting"?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

There is a bunch of rules for steemit. As long as steemit exists there were many discussions about the rules and their abuse. So it's not different this time regarding the support of randowhale. If its service is provided and not against the rules, why should not everybody be allowed to use it as it is implemented. For people who dont like this there are countermeasures as flagging or ignoring the authors.
By the way it is similar to the discussion about voting own content, even comments.
Shall I vote now my comment here or call randohale? I will not do so, but I hope somebody discovers it and gives me his little vote.

Sort:

As I have mentioned, I really do not mind minnows use the service, but when people start to abuse it with the content that is not even theirs to begin with, then the post is relatively useless / redundant, and then when it uses services like randowhale to fake its value... you know where I am going?
It is not even randowhale anymore, it is the abuse that these minnows are trying to rip it off.
Maybe you agree such a way for whatever reasons. But definitely if your content is good and moreover from your own creation, it makes the service (randowhale or others) more meaningful, is it not?
Or perhaps that is not even your concern?

Surely you are right! But I believe into the inner power of steemit, which will force the result that oly the good will stay long here. We could also complain clearly overvalued posts which are pushed by crazy whales. This will drain the reward pool more than any abuse of randowhale could cause.

And that still goes back to the issue of the heart, dear @steemit.nemesis . Whether it is a minnow / farmer / whale that is just trying to hoard in all the earnings to themselves, it is still an issue of the heart. Because this kind of attitude not only reflects here, it will reflect in their true nature in the real world as well.
