You are replying to a bot here :) You have 30 witness votes, they can be recycled so you can cast them freely and take them back if you wish. Why are witnesses important? Well, they are the backbone of Steemit, no witnesses no Steemit. There is also a ranking of witnesses and the rank determines what they earn. Higher rank pays better, so your vote is important to them. If you find a witness doing things you like, just cast a vote for him/her and support them, they really deserve it!
