I did the editing for this episode & the reason I started the clip this way was due to the fact that it kinda became a running gag that Dennis kept mentioning throughout the rest of his hour+ interview. "AT Machines" came back up several times, which you wouldn't have caught since you dodged 1 minute in.
I don't at all mind you disliking the intro - but I do disagree with the comment "Dennis deserves better though", as he gave a FANTASTIC interview on the show filled with information & insight.
You're rage quitting 1 minute into a 3 hour podcast.. people will see that opinion for what its worth.
Fair enough, Dennis does deserve better because he always gives good interviews. I didn't listen to yours because the intro convinced me it was just children going to ask silly questions...
Maybe you did give him a chance to really explain things but i wouldn't know, because I didn't get past the intro... I guess I am not your audience, let's just leave it at that..
He took questions from the live audience & spoke mostly unprompted for over an hour. I make a statement at the end of the podcast that I felt like It was a 3 hour show in just the first hour, based on how much information I had absorbed from his interview.
To each their own, I hold no ill with skin this thick.. I also feel that sometimes Criticism can be valuable information.. so it goes.
The person I referenced on the show who would have been triggered by the wording is a close friend who is a voracious reader, has a degree in media, and is a spelling Nazi. His brain thinks 'verbally', more-so than any other person I've met come to think about it, and we poke at his triggers for our amusement. He's also scared of pickles - however; sadly that tidbit didn't come up on this weeks show. (maybe next week)
