Our 2nd tutorial video has just been released to help you better understand Discord, another very important tool for the post promotion of your work and also for interacting with the ever-growing Steemit community there.
The film is presented by @samstonehill accompanied by 2 Minnows to ensure all questions are covered.
download the Discord app here (https://discordapp.com)
Unlike steemit.chat Discord includes the thumbnail photo when you paste in your link, and for this reason alone it provides a much more efficient system.
However...
Discord is a little complicated to understand at first. So, this tutorial walks you through it step by step.
Why is Discord so important?
With the rise in popularity of steemit.chat, it is becoming harder and harder to get noticed amongst the busy feeds available there.
Especially in the postpromotion feed which moves at a serious speed now.
Discord is a recent addition to the growing number of Steemit associated tools and due to it's invitation only policy, is currently less busy than its main counterpart steemit.chat
So you are much more likely to get noticed here!
Be careful not to post your links in the feeds which are for discussion only.
You should be able to see which is which by scanning through the feed quickly before posting your link.
Here are the invitation links mentioned in the film. They will open automatically in Discord once you have installed the app:
https://discord.gg/CB9hjvE (SteemLab)
https://discord.gg/mfGN7d (Whaleshares)
https://discordapp.com/invite/gh6bcja (SteemTrail)
https://discord.gg/mJBQtz (Steemshop)
https://discord.gg/JCJVUYb (Caturday)
And if you want to send a friend request to @samstonehill there, his username ID is as follows: samstonehill#3438
Once you have installed the Discord app, all you have to do is click these links and your new servers will appear with lots of exciting new categories to post in. Some of them not present in steemit.chat
Hope you found this helpful.
Please let me know if you can think of anything I have missed out.
W will be doing a separate post on SteemTrail specifically as this one is a bit more complicated than the others because it requires you to have an Open Ledger account in order to collect your Trail Coins.
Keep following @steemtutorials or the YouTube channel for the next instalment...
